Gary Smulyan, repeat winner of the Jazz Journalists Association Award for Baritone Saxophone and the Baritone Saxophonist of the Year from the Downbeat Jazz Critics Poll, plays a surprising, witty and ultimately moving bebop counterpoint to the classical baritone saxophone of Henk van Twillert, internationally renowned for his performance of the Bach Cello Suites.
